Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.

and wow i cant believe its a whole new year of school. any-who onto the lesson.

#6

today its all aboutaccesories!

now if you are haveing trouble drawing jewelry you can just go to www.google.com and type in how to draw necklaces, how to draw a bracelet etc...

but if your problem is that you know how to draw jewelry but you cant come up with any ideas, just look at your own jewelry. Lets say a pair of earring for example. you might think that a pair of ordinary diamond earrings are plain and nothing special. but take it and look at it unser the light. study how it sparkles. Now move it around a bit under the light.

the sparkles change as well right?

now your probably thinking i already know that sparkles change when you change the light, why am i reading this right?

well for the nest little task. draw the earrings without any light shining directly apon it.

now draw it again but at a differnt angle.

draw it again at another different angle.

now put it under the light and draw it three more times, all on different angles.

now you should have six drawings in total.

take a look at each one and study the differnces

study the similarites

after you do this hopefully you will probably realize that drawing the same object at different angles and lightings really make each picture unique.

this tecnique works with regular objects, clothes, and even people too!

however it works especially well with jewelry.

you can take a watch and draw it at different angles.

this also helps you when drawing your manga overall because you will be more familar when shading in or screentoning shadows. it will also help you draw objects at different points of view!

well thats finishes up this lesson! ill write soon!

next lesson will be on storyboards!

JA NE!

ahh well unfortunalty i was supposed to but some pics up but its not the right file. So you will have to go to my tokyopop page. www.tokyopop.com/FMAotaku101

omg its been forever since i last updated. sorry about that.

anywayz two more days till the end of school!! hehee.... yeah right! and i dont have any hw or projects to do! all we do in class is chat! awsomeness! anywyaz now that i will have the whole summer i will probably update more than i am now.

now onto todays lesson! lesson #5 wow im so slow

okay now for the clothes it kind of tricky. now let me guess. most of you just draw lines around the neck, waist, arms, and legs. then theres your beautiful clothesdesign. am i right? dont worry. i use to do it to. but now i have a little inside secret that i am letting you hear. and some of you may already know this secret. but for thoses of you that dont know here it is. the secret is: to look at clothes websites such as old navy and sears etc.. also you look in magazines and anywhere they have pics of clothes. you dont copy them exaclty but , it gives you a general idea of how clothes are supposed to look like, and how they designes are formed.

dont know where to find clothes? well here are a few of the many websites:

www.oldnavy.com

www.forever21.com

www.sears.com

www.gap.com

www.abercrombie.com

now if you just search clothes on www.google.com then you can find even more places

well thats all for todays lesson! next time i will talk about and give you jewelry websites and tips!

Ja Ne!

Wow i cant believe its june already. my school gets out at june 27th. anywayz i had so many projcets and tests to do. i got 10 on my math project, a 97 on my science, and a 98 on my french and s.s. project. and i got 90 or higher on my recent tests. (too amny to name.) i feel geeky. anywyaz onto the lesson. today i will discuss objects and symbols. now for the objects i mean stuff like pencils, ipods, anythings that you can pick up, hold, touch etc... Now unforunatly i cant put any pictures of objects right now but i will as soon as i can. the best way you can draw objects is looking at the obeject itself. if you cant looke at it, like a BMW, try to look at pictures of it. Try to get different angles of the object, or different perspectives when drawing it.

Now for the symbols. the best way to make a symbol is to draw randomly or draw multpile shapes of different shapes and sizes.

another way is to doodle. for example a symbol in fma is the symbol on edwards red coat, and on lust's chest thoses are symbols. also the transmutaion circles are considered symbols.

thats all for this lesson! its really short i know.

i will try to update more!

next lesson is clothes
